eBay Auction Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this to upgrade my phone?
If your existing account is no longer under contract, or within three months of the end of it's current contract, you may purchase one of our phones. Please note, there may be additional cost for the phone because our eBay listing prices are based on new activation, not upgrades. If your contract is expired nor within three months of the end of the contract, please do not bid for a phone on our eBay listings because you could not fulfill the contract requirements.

Can I get the phone without getting a contract?
Our eBay listings cannot under any circumstance be used to purchase a phone without activation and 2 year service contract. The only reason dealers can sell phones at low prices like this is because service providers, such as Cingular/ATT, compensate us for the actual price of the phone when we bring in a new contract. If there's no contract, we don't get compensated.

Can I use this phone with a pre-paid plan?
No. Again, our eBay listings cannot under any circumstance be used to purchase a phone without activation and 2 year service contract.

Can I use this phone with another service besides AT&T?
No. Phones are pre-programmed to work only with one carrier. We do not sell unlocked phones on our eBay listings.

I didn't read realize this requires a contract, can you cancel my bid?
Just as it is not the seller's responsibility for the bidder to read the auction, it is not the seller's responsibility to cancel a bid because the bidder didn't read the auction. If we see a request like this, we may cancel the bid for you, but we cannot guarantee that we will see your email prior to the auction ending. You may be able to retract the bid yourself. Follow this link to eBay and it will give you directions as to how to retract the bid: http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/questions/retract-bid.html

This has to be done with more than 12 hours left on the auction, so we suggest you retract the bid as soon as possible.

I won the auction but cannot get the contract. Is this OK?
Yes, with conditions. As a seller, we are charged fees. We can cancel the purchase since you made the mistake of not reading the auction before bidding. Since that was your mistake, We do require that you at least cover our fees for the auction. We will mark this auction as payment received to keep this from coming up as an unpaid auction. If you do this, we are willing to also agree to positive feedback for the auction.

The listing didn't state there was a contract when I bid, so I'm not going start one. Just send me the phone.
eBay sellers are not able to make changes on listings after they have bids. Every phone we list on eBay requires new activation and a 2 year contract and is listed in the category "Phones w/Service Contracts." This means everything stated in the listing now was there prior to any bids, we didn't change anything. We will not send phones without the buyer entering the required contract just because a buyer didn't bother reading the entire auction listing.
